So my darling wife got me Nick Hornby's collection of mini-essays about his favorite songs, published through McSweeney's. It's very good. In a brain-boggling display of synergy, McS are also posting essays about favorite songs by *other* writers to their site each day. Here's a nice one about Ron Sexsmith's lovely song "Lebanon, Tennessee".
